My Lords and Ladies,

In accordance with the wishes of my most merciful mistresses, I have posted the flyer for Mid-Winter Revel 2014—A Journey along the Silk Road.

Heed the call of the marketplace! The sweet smells of spice and incense, cinnamon and turmeric mingling with frankincense and myrrh; scarlet, saffron and indigo fabrics surrounded by copper and brass; the music of the qÄnÅ«n, oud, sheng, and koto fills the air….

Join us in a Journey along the Silk Road from Kyushu to Samarkand to Constantinople. Spend a day filled with music, dancing, feasting, and classes.

Lochmere Fighter Practice Updates, August – December

I have updated the Lochmere calendar with the currently scheduled practices August through December. We have no indoor practice November 26th and December 24th. Practice can be outdoors as weather permits until December 1st.

Demo in the Park

Looking for a chance to go Medieval in Howard County this weekend? The Barony of Lochmere will be hosting a medieval demo at Pavilion A in Centennial Park in Ellicott City this Saturday 26 April from 12 pm to 5 pm.

There will be grills available, so we are encouraging members of the Barony to bring food—don't forget buns for those burgers and dogs!—and drinks for themselves to consume.

Fighters…the picture above is for you! If you are in the area, please come out so that we can have a few people to demonstrate some of what we do. Please remember to bring your blue cards and fighter cards. Lord Gabrell Fairecloughe, Lochmere’s Minister of the Lists, will be there to verify your waivers and authorizations.
