Activities in the Barony of Lochmere

An excellent way to get to know the Barony of Lochmere is to come out to our regularly scheduled activities. Right now some are virtual, and some are in person, as the SCA and our Barony navigate safely re-opening during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

From the monthly business meetings, to martial and target archery practices, to our various arts & sciences activities, there’s a way for everyone to get medieval!

Monthly Populace Meeting

Our Populace Meetings occur virtually on the first Monday of each month, 7:15 p.m. sharp.

You don’t have to be an officer of the Barony to come out to our meetings. They are a great way to find out what is going on in the Barony and how you can get involved.

For more information about the Lochmere Populace meetings, e-mail our Seneschal, Lord Edgar Refskegg, at

More Arts & Sciences Activities!

There are several great opportunities to get involved in Arts and Sciences in the Barony of Lochmere. If you would like to get involved in any of these, feel free to come out to the practices. Some of these activities are new and seeking participants to help get them off the ground. If you wish to help, contact our Lochmere’s Minister of Arts & Sciences, Lady Marta de Lyon at

Lochmere Vocal Music Guild – Seeking Director!

The Lochmere Vocal Music Guild is a performance choir for all voice parts.  We must bid our current Director Sir Aelfred farewell and the best of luck (he will be so missed!) as he relocates to another part of the kingdom out of Barony. We meet on the first three Wednesdays of each month. You don’t have to read music to join, but we do ask that you enjoy singing and can carry a tune in a wheel barrow 🙂 Contact Dame Dealla Cohen, at deallac[at]juno[dot]com.

For the best medieval experiences, come out to one of our themed events. Whether it be arts & sciences or rapier fighting and combat archery or target archery and heavy melee combat, there’s something for everyone.
