Willkommen Bogenschützen! Welcome Archers!

Join us at Night at the Faire for a Schützenfest (marksmen festival). As the legend goes, a fifteenth-century marksman (Schütze) shot down an eagle that had attacked a small child. The people in the village were so joyous that they made this hero an honorary king of the village for a year. In subsequent years, the villagers would hold a festival to commemorate this occasion with a sharpshooting competition, with the winner becoming honorary king for a year.

Come join us for a range of German-inspired targets and our victor will become the Schützenkönig (“king of marksmen”) for the event.
